First InterAct Day

Annual meeting

The InterAct Day is organised annually throughout the lifetime of the project frame and aims to communicate the project frame's technical activities to the Industrial Partners and beyond.

The meeting on 16 November 2023 had around 65 participants from the partners, including departmental staff.

The programme was roughly divided into three parts:

  • Introduction to the project frame, its activities, and its researchers.
  • Review of current PhD projects by PhD students Philipp Carsten Hornung and Tessa Steensgaard.
  • Research presentations by Mogens Steffensen (on epidemiological modelling in life insurance) and Munir Hiabu (on time-reversed hazard modelling with applications to insurance and pensions).

“It was a great afternoon with InterAct and a pleasure to see so many other interested people from the different partners. I was particularly struck by the two new PhD students presenting their research ideas, and I look forward to following them and their projects”, said Kristian Buchardt from AP Pension, a member of the Steering Committee.
