Mogens Steffensen, Christian Furrer and Sanne Juul Nielsen have been visiting almost all the Industrial Partners of InterAct. At Industriens Pension they had talks with Rikke Sylow Francis and Charlotte Kønig. Photo: Simon Skipper.

The purpose of the round of visits was to hear about the partners' wishes and needs regarding continuing and professional education, both in the short and long term.

The Industrial Partners gave many good suggestions for both topics and format. There was also interest in using the continuing and professional education activities to support knowledge sharing across the partners.

The subject proposals harmonized well with the research themes that had already been discussed in InterAct's Theme Committee, e.g. machine learning and product design, but also gave new angles and dimensions to the themes.

Central element

Continuing and professional education is a central element of the project framework. Within InterAct, the Industrial Partners are given the opportunity to participate free of charge in selected continuing and professional education activities, including tailor-made courses that are developed on the basis of the research activities within the project framework.

"The smart thing is that not only does the research inform the continuing and professional education activities, but the education activities also help to set a mark on the direction of the research. And this sort of proximity of the research to the market is beneficial for all parties," says Christian Furrer.

"We expect to carry out the first activities in the first half of 2023. We are very much looking forward to that," says Mogens Steffensen.
